Dedicated to Preserving Fort Worth
Members of Historic Fort Worth’s Resources and Recognitions Committee make recommendations to the board of directors regarding the organization’s preservation programs.

Among the current ways Historic Fort Worth is working to preserve our city’s heritage include:
  • Attending every City of Fort Worth Historic and Cultural Landmarks Commission meeting and commenting on agenda items.
  •  Working with and supporting historic neighborhoods on designations, districts, and preservation issues.
  •  Presenting educational seminars to the public and professionals (see Events for information on SOLD! On Historic Neighborhoods and “Profiting from Preservation.
  • Surveying historic resources in Fort Worth.
  • Announcing a list of Most Endangered Places in our community to call attention to neglected historic resources.
  • Presenting awards to those who restore, rehabilitate, and maintain historic properties or work in other ways to preserve our heritage.
  • Meeting with developers and other professionals to assist with rehabilitation projects and financing, informing them of federal preservation tax credits available.
